About Us
Mission
Pontiac Search and Rescue’s objectives are to support the Sûreté du Québec by conducting search and rescue operations in the event that someone has been reported lost. The success of the search depends on many factors: weather conditions, length of time that the victim is missing, and the level of professionalism in planning and execution by the search and rescue team.
Members
We have 33 active members in the group, 20 of whom are accredited as basic searchers by the Sûreté du Québec.
For those who wish to become members, please write to us at the following e-mail address:
An annual membership fee of $20 is collected from members, to be paid by the beginning of May. We have at least two general meetings per year, one of which takes place in November, at which we hold our elections.
