Membership Information
Who can become a member?
Anyone at least 18 years old who is enthusiastic about the objectives and values of search and rescue, possesses a desire to help others, the willingness to learn, the ability to work as part of a team, a strong sense of responsibility, commitment and respect for others can become a member. For those wanting to be part of response teams, a taste for the outdoors and adventure is helpful.
What training should I have?
No prior training is required. We provide the training required to ensure that our members are competent in the accomplishment of their tasks. This training includes regular training sessions as well as occasional simulation exercises.
What does it cost to become a member?
An annual membership fee of $20 is collected from members, to be paid by the beginning of May. We have at least two general meetings per year, one of which takes place in November, at which we hold our elections.

Download the membership form either as a Word document or a pdf file. If you download the Word document you can fill in the appropriate information using Word, save it and then email it back to us. If you download the pdf version, print it out, fill in the appropriate information and then send it back to us via regular mail. Please include a pocket-size photo (approx. 1 inch x 1-3/8 inches) of yourself either by email or send it along with the pdf form by mail.
Please don't forget to include the $20 membership fee.
